One of my 2018 goals was to sew a jacket with structure and a lining. I have made a couple of jackets out of knits, and one lined cape. This one was a case of learning one seam at a time.
In the past couple of weeks, I’ve somehow managed to acquire a lot of fabric. First there was a trip home to Canada, then I attended the annual conference for the American Sewing Guild, and finally, I was tempted by Fabric Mart Fabrics.
Recently I discovered The Monthly Stitch. It’s a collective of blogging sewists, and each month a challenge is posted. The April Challenge was to let Miss Bossy choose our next sewing project. Every morning I stare at my wardrobe and nothing excites me. I’m really tired of the standard pants/shirt/topper silhouette and am beginning to realize that I want to wear dresses.
